Any sale of a lottery ticket retailer location or business entity that has a lottery ticket retailer licence must be reported to the LGCA at least 10 business days prior to the closing date of the sale. The new owners must apply for a licence to operate the lottery ticket terminal before taking ownership of the location. Operating a lottery ticket terminal without a licence is a crime and failing to obtain a licence will result in the lottery ticket terminal being shut down.
