Liquor sales with delivery and takeout food orders

On April 15, 2020, the Manitoba government authorized the sale of liquor with delivery and takeout food orders. Dining room licensees can start offering their customers this service at any time and do not have to wait for approval from the LGCA.

The LGCA asks licensees to notify us if they are choosing to sell liquor with delivery and takeout food orders. Licensees can click here for an online form to submit their notification.

Dining room licensees must comply with the terms and conditions set by the LGCA. This includes our general service terms and conditions as well as those specific to dining rooms. If a licensee chooses to sell liquor with delivery and takeout food orders, they must comply with additional terms and conditions.

Licensees must also comply with legislation, regulations and any requirements or conditions placed on the licence.

This type of licence allows minors to be present in the premises, but has restrictions around seating. A licensee may sell liquor for consumption without a meal only if at least half of the seating in the dining room is available for persons ordering a meal or who have eaten a meal.
