The LGCA is not involved in any aspect of Health Canada’s medical cannabis program. Authorized medical cannabis users registered with Health Canada will still be able to grow cannabis themselves or designate someone else to grow on their behalf for personal use. Provincial laws do not address medical cannabis production or sales in any way, as medical cannabis continues to be regulated at the federal level.
