Joint statement by the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) and the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation (MBLL)
The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) and Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation (MBLL) are aware that Health Canada is conducting an investigation of Bonify. We are in communication with Health Canada to ensure that any resulting issues for Manitobans are resolved.
In the immediate, LGCA and MBLL have taken the following steps:
- Sale and distribution of all Bonify products in Manitoba are suspended. MBLL has advised that there are no open orders for Bonify products currently in the distribution system and that all Bonify products have been delisted and removed from the current product catalogue; and
- Today, LGCA is seizing all Bonify products from all licensed retailers in Manitoba. A notice was provided to all retail stores. A copy of the notice is attached.
Consumers should return Bonify cannabis products in their original package for refund to the store where the products were purchased.
